Please take pity

I'd like you to meet my friend James, aka Jamie.  He lives in Tennessee, but he's not a total Southern redneck hillbilly.  (Love ya, James!  kiss-kiss)  He's actually pretty cool.

James has recently become a huge fan of my blog.  So huge, in fact, that he's trying to recruit people on Facebook to join the "Martha's blog fan club".  {I believe his exact words were "scrounging for people to join..."  Should I be affronted by that?}

Michelle, the ultimate bff, works with James and they IM all day long.  {BTW - He's got a wicked humongous crush on Michelle, but who doesn't?  She's fab!  I digress...}

Poor James has recently come into some bad luck:: he's taken a pay cut, had massive car troubles that cost a fortune, and now, the straw that broke the camel's back - his 37" LCD TV blew up during a storm last week.  {For us single people, our TVs are our life lines, our constant companions when we're at home, so to be without one - Tragic!  I mean, how is he ever going to keep up on "Momma's Boys"?}  He's a bit strapped for money right now and probably won't be able to get a new TV until February rolls around.  (I guess Happy Valentine's Day for him, huh?)  Very dismal news indeed!

I now feel minutely obligated to help him out in any way possible since he is the president of my (fictitious) blog fan club.  So, do you have any money saving tips for James so that he can replace his beloved TV sooner than February?  Any help would be most appreciated.

How about dropping the cable or satellite? If he's got directv, maybe he can call them up and put his service out temporarily, so he can save some cash. 32" TVs are $500 or less at Best Buy.

Poor guy. How do I join that fan club, I'm on facebook, do I just search for it??

I suggest referring him to my blog about how celebrities are cutting back. Tell him to steal rolls from restaurants, cut out the strippers, and cut back on the mistress gifts. Good luck, James!

I hope you and your family have a very merry Christmas!

Ok, so now I am a follower and you can thank our friend James. Don't have much time to blog as "Momma's Boys" just came on and I must watch it. I am a reality junkie and I need, really need to see what the life stories are for some of these girls. Glad they aren't searching for me, I do not want to share everything about me.
