I *heart* that Monday

Things I absolutely *heart* this week:

Christmas Traditions ::  I have several favorites when it comes to Christmas Traditions, but here are my top 2.
1.  Dad's Birthday Party/Christmas Eve shindig at my parent's.  My poor dad got stuck with the ultimate in abysmal days to have a birthday - Christmas Eve.  So, mom hosts a birthday bash/Christmas open house every year, with lots of food, fun, friends and family.  I love getting to see everyone, even if it is only once a year.  Of course, there are some guests that show up that I could go several years without seeing, but we'll just leave them out of this little list.
2.  As part of dad's birthday, he loves going to the mall, getting a cinnamon roll and sitting there watching people as they scurry about doing their last minute shopping.  (Must be where I get my ridiculous people watching compulsion from.  I *heart* people watching!)

Dr. Brown :: Is it wrong to love your OB/GYN?  This woman is a genius. I swear by all that is holy she is a miracle worker.  She is the blessed angel that diagnosed me with PCOS and got me feeling like myself again. (Heaven knows I felt somewhat vindicated when she did.)  When she walks into the room, it's like seeing one of your best girlfriends whom you haven't seen in awhile and you have to catch up. I loved her response when I told her today about my gigantic gall bladder incident back in October: "I've got to look at the report... Oh my gosh! It was 10.5 cm! That's as big as a baby's head!"  {So, apparently I gave birth this year -  to a bouncing, ginormous gall bladder.  Who knew?}

Jaada :: Hair Stylist extraordinaire.  Jaada is like a ray of sunshine in an otherwise cloudy day. She's always so positive and she makes me look cute.  How could you not like her?

My Down Comforter :: De-light-ful!  I had to put this heavenly creation of downy warmth and softness on my bed yesterday because the cold, nippy weather has finally arrived.  (The highs for this coming weekend - 20. That's right, I said 20 degrees.  For the high.  Brrr!)  This bad boy is THE BEST for snuggling up under on a cold winter night.

What do you *heart* this week?

I heart all of those things too. Finding a good ob/gyn and hair stylist is hard. When you find them you thank your lucky stars and hang onto them.

As far as the breakfast goes, I say work shmerk. Take a half day off or call in sick. It'll be worth it! ;)

Ok sweetie - My Dr. Bruemmer can take your Dr. Brown. She is the best doctor ever AND Gabriel will actually argue with me if he knows I'm going to see her (she's his doc too and he loves her) - he doesn't want to miss out on an appointment with her.

Mimi is also a hair stylist extraordinaire. It's the best 2 hours and $110 I can spend - she makes me super-fabulous!

I *heart* your list.

I love my down comforter too! Adam sleeps with his own lightweight blanket, so I get mine all to myself.

Just SO said...

That party for your dad sounds wonderful...even with those you don't want to see.

And isn't it nice to have such a great OB/GYN? That's crazy about your gallbladder!

This week I heart new jeans and spanx.

I used to heart my ob/gyn too. Especially when he didn't make me feel like a dork when I got unecessarily naked at one of my appts.

And I also love my down comforter. And pillows. And featherbed. I wish I could stay there all day sometimes.
