When you were a child, what job did you most want to have when you grew up?
For those of you who really know me you'll probably find this a bit hard to believe, but when I was a child, I had grandiose dreams of becoming a big time corporate lawyer.
Yep, that's right. This from the girl who absolutely hates confrontation and arguing/debating.
I have no idea what I was even thinking, but it's absolutely true.
Of course, I also had dreams of becoming a teacher, the CEO of Disney, a mom, and an interpreter at the UN. (The last one is probably a little closer to reality since I pretty much minored in Russian in college and took several years of French in high school.)
I didn't end up with any of these jobs. Nope. I somehow found my way into the "magical" world of Medical Billing and software support. I really can't complain, though, because it's actually been a really good field to me.
Alright, what about you? Did you have ambitious plans for a big time career when you were a child? If so, what job did you most want?

Good question! I actually wanted to be a writer from the time I was very young, and I ended up doing just that for quite a few years...Although, I really wanted to be a published fiction writer, and that has not yet happened, but I don't give up easily!
The first job I totally remember wanting was astronaut. When the Challenger exploded - I gave up that idea, as I watched that happen live on TV at school.
The dream that followed me through middle/high school and part of college was forensic pathologist (I wanted to be Dr. G before Dr. G). The costs of paying my way through school got the better of me and I switched my premed major to Humanities after my first year of college - I knew I wasn't going to med school.
I never dreamed I wanted to serve my country but they do pay for school so I ended up there - good thing or I never would have ended up with your brother. Sweet!
And now I am an investment advisor - I have no idea how that happened.
...for a time I figured stripping would be easy $$$...never did pursue that though...closest I got to it was just actually "living" in Vegas...LOL!
I grew up to be a teacher...but I really always wanted to be a backup dancer for Janet Jackson. Maybe I'll try out for her next tour.
an ice skater.
ice skating + klutziness = a good show!
always wanted to be a trainer at sea world.
swimming with shamu.
always!
the dream still has not died.
I always played school and was the teacher. I wanted to be a teacher. I think cause they made the rules, was in charge and got to boss everyone around.
I think being a mom took care of that.
PS - I tagged you in a new little meme on my blog. Go check it out!
I really, really wanted to be one of Charlies Angels.
And then a truck driver.
