I should just throw in the towel

When it comes to fortune cookies, my "good fortune" is seriously lacking.  I somehow manage to get the worst fortunes ever thought up.  They really do show a lack of fortune creativity and always seem to end up in my cookie.

Case in point::  The bff and I decided to go to The Asian Star for dinner on Friday night, one of our favorite Asian restaurants.  It was an enjoyable meal.  I love their Kung Pao Chicken. Delicious!

As the waiter left the check and 2 fortune cookies, I took a deep breath and grabbed the one closest to me.  I figured that was the proper thing to do.

I cracked open the cookie with gusto, hoping that just maybe this one would be different, and pulled out my "fortune"::

Share your abundant humor with others at this time.  They need it.

Huh.  Now I feel even more obligated to find my missing funny bone so that my posts remain amusing enough to keep you all coming back for more.  I suppose I'm happy for the fact that I can provide a tiny escape from reality and the ills of the world for all of my blog followers.

But, I so should've taken the cookie closest to Michelle because it said::

You will soon gain something you have always desired.

Now that is a fortune.

Better luck next time...

I believe in making up my own fortunes! Whenever I go to a chinese restaurant with my friends I grab a fortune cooking, crack it open and read something like "There is a hot man with massage oil waiting in your bedroom at home!" or "Chocolate Chip Cookie dough ice cream will not add anything to your waist this month!".
It always makes me feel alot better than the dumb fortune that is actually in the cookie - ha ha

So here's to making your own fortune!

Have a GREAT day!
