Aaaaahhhh ... The fresh scent of cow pies Spring

You know that there's a Spring-like thaw happening in the Salt Lake valley when you walk out of your office building to go to a meeting only to have your olfactory senses bombarded with the pungent smell of pasture patties.  I kid you not, the scent was so strong that I had to breathe thru my mouth so as to keep from throwing up in my mouth.

It smelled like a cow had been kept in a 10 x 10 room for 5 years without the room ever being mucked out.  The odd thing, though, not a half mile away there was absolutely no smell.

(I may have tried to blame Melissa for the odiferous aroma.)

Usually, the other Spring-like smell in the valley air is that of the Great Salt Lake, which pretty much smells like rotten eggs.  I once had a roommate, who was new to the valley, think that I was the one responsible for the smell.  I was totally offended because had it actually been me, I probably would've owned up to it. (I'd do my brothers proud.  Just sayin'.)

So, welcome to Spring in Utah, even though the calendar says that Spring is still weeks away.

Yeah. The smells. And they say that the ozone layer is caused by cars. Look at the cows I say.

Are you sure it wasn't something blowing in from Magna?

It was the strongest most disgusting smell I have been offended with in a LONG time. Except maybe that girl at the gym....
However, had it BEEN me, I would have totally owned up to it. I would turned my cheeks your direction and let you KNOW it was coming. And then I would have demanded a rating.

that smell reminds me of my grandparents. not because THEY smell, but the cattle land they live on does.

I am all about the Pine Sol, I don't think I could handle the cows!

Apparently the cows did not like the Pine Sol smell!

Call me crazy...and I'm totally serious when I say this.
I love the smell of cow pies. And I hate the smell of Pinesol.

Ok, let me explain. I grew up on a dairy farm. So, that cow smell makes me nostalgic for my childhood. It reminds me of my grandparents, and helping my Mom bottle milk, and stealing candy while working in the dairy.

I don't like the smell of any kind of pine cleaner. I don't know why, but it's gross to me.

Good call on blaming Melissa. I try to pin just about everything on her.

Except for farts in yoga. We know who does that.
