Saturday, Michelle and I went to the Salt Lake Arts Festival. After picking her brother up from his work, we made our way to lovely downtown SLC.The weather was perfect. Sunny, not a cloud in sight, but a tad bit too warm for my liking.
Michelle's mom had a booth displaying her truly amazing carved gourds, and because of that, we got in free. Woo-hoo! Nothing like free entry into a festival. (Thanks, Marilyn!)
After grabbing some overpriced food (it was a festival, which means jack-the-prices-up), we started meandering amongst the booths.
I must say, there are some truly talented and gifted people out there in this old world. I loved looking at the different photographers booths. Amazing stuff. I almost bought a pic, but the guy didn't have the size I wanted.
There were lots of booths with paintings, photographs, pottery, and sculpture. A definite feast for the eyes.
We managed to make it thru all of the booths in about 2 1/2 hours. Unfortunately, the only thing I went home with was a sunburn. (Yep, genius here forgot to plaster her lily white skin with sunscreen.)

2 1/2 hours at a craft fair, and you didn't find one item to purchase?!?
I've only been to the arts festival once. Loved it but it is usually broiling hot. Now my kids are older my husband and I will have to try this again.
Must have faded, I didn't notice any redness this morning at all.
I even had free tickets I had won in a race and still didn't end up going. One of these days......and I wanted Dave to see Marilyn's gourds.
The problem with overpriced food is you don't mind paying the price when you're starving, but as soon as you're done eating, you're mad. Hate that.
at least you had GREAT company!!!
