Just Kidding...

My niece, the ever so adorable Miss J, called me Sunday night from grandma and grandpa's just to chat. 

There were the usual pleasantries - How are you? What have you been up to? Are you having fun with grandma and grandpa?

Then, I ask: "Are you glad it's summer and that school's over?"

Miss J: "Yep."

Me: "So, you're gonna be in the 2nd grade next year, right?"

Miss J: "Noooo. I'm going to be in the 3rd grade."

Me: "How did that happen?"

Miss J: (Without skipping a beat) "I skipped a grade."

Me: "Wha...?"

Miss J: "Just kidding!" giggle, giggle, giggle

Little Miss Smarty Pants! She cracks me up.
