When I was driving in to work this morning, I happened to be listening to the radio and rocking out to All American Rejects' "Gives You Hell". Normally, I'd be singing along at the top of my lungs, you know, my own private concert with me as the lead singer, but I wasn't this morning.
Anyway, as I'm heading thru an intersection, I look over to see a woman driving the opposite direction and singing said song for all it was worth. She was REALLY into it. I mean shouting the lyrics at her windshield and leaning forward into the steering wheel for extra emphasis. I could clearly see that she was singing the words to "Gives You Hell".
So, my question to you::
When you're driving in the car all by youself, do you rock out and sing along to the radio/a CD?
AND, Do you care if anyone else sees you singing at the top of your lungs looking like a lunatic?
I don't care. I love singing in the car with my stereo up full blast. It makes me happy, especially when it's a really great song.

Heck...I sing like that even when the kids are with me if it is a good song....Mhasyn plays the "air drums" alog with me & Q tries to sink down in his seat so no one notices him...but I know he loves it too!!! =)

I love to sing in the car. Actually, one time I had a car pull up next to me - a guy held out his arm with his fist in the ball. I looked at him strangely, rolled down my window and asked him "What?" He told me that we was giving me a microphone because I was singing. What a smart butt!
I sing along for all it's worth! When Sprout was 10 or so, she listened to alot of Radio Disney and she was shocked when I'd belt out the tunes. You see, the current bands we're doing alot of remakes of songs from my era. Singing is good therapy!
I love singing when driving and I dont care who sees me...heck I ditty bop around in the car and have people turn clear around and look....I dont care its a little bit of ME time!!!!

I sing along - maybe not as much as the chick in your story but enough to make me happy.
What makes me MOST happy though is that Gabriel totally rocks out in the back seat and knows the words to ALL the popular songs -- he doesn't say "hell" though -- it's a bad word. I have such a good kid!
If it's an oldie, or western music, you bet I sing along !!! I hit a stage years ago, that I don't care what the guy in the other car thinks, I just like to see the smile on their face!!! YASL by The Mom
Are you kidding?? I AM that woman!! I am totally a rock star in my own car! Sometimes I even open the windows and let others catch the concert - poor them ;D
There was a time that I sang at the top of my lungs where anyone could see. Not so much anymore. I'm not sure why.
I do love that song though.
