More than meets the eye?...

I don't think so... at least not this time around.

That's right, gang, Michelle and I went to see "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" yesterday, which happened to be opening day.

We both loved the first Transformers movie, so were rather excited at the prospect of a second one.

Not gonna lie - kinda disappointed. It was like they tried to cram WAY too much into a 2 hour time frame, completely overshot the goal, and ended up with an almost 3 hour movie jam packed with more stuff than was really necessary to the story. There was unnecessary innuendo and name calling, some totally lame characters (2 ghetto mini Coopers) that did nothing to move the plot along (think Jar-Jar Binx in the Star Wars movies), and gratuitous violence.
I love the main characters, and they brought the mom back, who is hilarious. There were some great special effects, and I was never bored, but I was overwhelmed.

So, here's my opinion (and it pains me to say this) - it was just ok. You can seriously wait until it hits the dollar theaters or RedBox.

I haven't even seen the first one. Megan Fox makes me angry.

With two boys - make that three boys - in the house, we won't be waiting. But I can't stand to see anything on opening day because I hate crowds and lines, so we'll probably see it next week. Thanks for the warning.

Bummer. My son really wants to see it, but I heard it might be a little inappropriate in spots. I may have to screen it first.

DUDE! I am so bummed! I loved the first one. Yes, yes, Megan Fox has weird thumbs - it's one of Travis' ongoing issues with her, I don't particularly care.

We'll probably still end up seeing it as we no longer need babysitters for the time being and we have nothing better to do.

Tell Grandma what you thought though so she doesn't take Gabe, Cobe & Jessie to see it if it's inappropriate!

Oh...that is sad that the movie is no good! I ♥ Megan Fox...weird thumbs and all...I'd take her body even is God made me have weird thumbs! I saw her thumbs after Travis told me about them...and I guess they are not all that strange to me...Sean & I knew a girl named Jenn in school who has the same thumbs....so we're used to them...I can deal with that.
