Torture Tuesday

Today was my second workout with the new trainer - Thomas.  Just for today, I will refrain from calling him a torturer because he was super sweet and told me "good job" after every set. He was also very understanding and didn't try to kill me since I've not been to see him in several weeks (try 3).

It was an upper body workout and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be hatin' life tomorrow about 3:00 p.m.  Believe it or not, not so much as a single whine escaped my lips.  (Please, pick yourselves up off the floor.)  Another of my resolutions for this year - less whining.  Note:  I did not say 'no whining', just 'less'.

After the torture, Michelle and I decided to get on the arc-trainer.  I was doing pretty good, minding my own business, watching all the people who've decided that they need to go to the gym more for their New Year's resolutions and I swear that I saw Fabio at the Gold's Gym.  He had the long flowing locks which were parted down the middle and feathered.  Yes, feathered! He even had the fake tan action going on.  Super hot!  (I may have pointed him out to Michelle so that mocking could ensue - dang!  Only 6 days into the month and there goes the be kinder resolution.)

We also watched some extremely bad acting on the Ellen show.  A magician and his assistant were totally over-doing the exaggerated magician moves.  Cheesy.  We were laughing out loud and, of course, making fun of the poor guy.

If you like people watching, the gym is a great place.  You should try it.  But go now because there are lots and lots of people going to the gym due to their resolution to get in shape or lose weight.  If you wait too long (say the beginning of March), the New Year's resolution crowd will have quit by then.  I'm just sayin'...

Totally unrelated. I see you have kwerner on your sidebar. Do you stamp? I would email this to you, but it appears there is no email address on your profile. email me: vnschmidt@gmail.com

PS, I hate all the new people at spinning in January. The teacher has to scale back the class for the newbies. Come on people, just keep up.

Couldn't agree with you more on the people watching at the gym. Although I must admit that Melissa and I have taken it to the next level. We don't just mock them - we mess with them. It is pretty sweet.
