the heat and I are not friends

I don't like the heat, not one little bit. Not even a smidgen. If the weather could stay at a pleasant 78 degrees - I'd be thrilled.

But, I live in Utah, northern Utah, but Utah nonetheless. It gets hot here.  It's supposed to be 100 degrees on Friday and Saturday this week.  That's Naaaasty.

I haven't always hated the heat.  I was fine with it in my younger years.  My total objection to hot temps reared it's ugly head with all of my hormonal issues. I even went so far as to ask my Interal Med doc if I could quite possibly be going thru "The Change" so soon.  (Stranger things have been known to happen.)  He just looked at me like I was off my rocker, which is debatable, and I could tell he wanted to laugh at me, but he kept it real professional like.

I  can't sit outside to enjoy a lovely meal at a restaurant without buckets of sweat cascading down my head in a sweaty waterfall over my perfectly made-up face, down my back, thru Cleveland and elsewhere, which leaves me feeling positively icky.

If I spend any amount of time out in high temps, I end up needing extra sleep the next day.  I'm totally  zapped.  No energy whatsoever.  I think hot temps must be my Kryptonite.

I think I'll move to Seattle.

If you move to Seattle, I hope you like the rain!

I would move to San Diego.

But can you handle the rain of Seattle dripping down your head in a waterfall? :) (*Personally I would love to move closer to Portland and Seattle. It's so green there!)

So I guess you're not gonna be coming to see me anytime soon?

My 33 year old cousin is going through early menopause. I guess it runs in her family. Luckily not the side that we're related on.

I don't get it. Really I don't. But I love you anyway. Boo to Seattle. Beautiful to visit, but girl, I've seen what the humidity does to you. Stay with the dry air.

I too HATE, HATE, HATE the heat. San Antonio was my personal climate hell. In an effort to balance my hatred of all things hot, I get to live in Monterey where the hottest it ever gets here is a balmy 78. I LOVE it.

Seattle is to far, far away. I too am not a sun worshiper , and enjoy the temps when they are under 83 degrees. Where did all this head sweating come from? YASL by The Mom

I love, love, LOVE Seattle. I spent a great deal of time there for work and I couldn't get enough of the place. The rain really isn't that bad. Most of the time it's a mist. De-light-ful!
