Yes, it's true. I was all alone at work today. My work bff's abandoned, yes abandoned me for meetings, training and a trip to St. George. This meant that I actually had to work. Of all the nerve!
No one to talk to.
No one to be silly with.
No one to sexually harass me at various times during the day in order to keep things interesting.
No one to chat with over instant messenger - until 2:15 when the Evil Genius got out of her meetings.
Ok, so I really did get quite a bit accomplished, but sometimes, I just need to get out of my cubicle and chat for a few minutes and the peeps I normally visit just weren't there. (Pretty sure that the teammates on the other row didn't want me bothering them, so I toughed it out at my desk - where, for a break, I read blogs, surfed, and did a free-write exercise - sometimes, I need a break from writing boring old "how to" documents for our software users.)
