On April 16th, I got a letter from my niece's elementary school teacher. Here's what it said:
Dear Friend or Relative,
We recently finished reading the book Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown. In the story, Stanley, the main character, is flattened by a bulletin board that falls on top of him while he is sleeping. Luckily, he isn't hurt, just flattened. Later in the story, Flat Stanley wanted to visit some friends in California, so his parents folded him up, put him in an envelope, and mailed him to California. After a nice visit, his friends sent him back to his family.
We have "flattened" ourselves for a special project and we need your help! Please show the little "flat" friend sent to you around your town, home, and/or office and send them back to us with a letter about their travels/visit. Pictures and postcards showing what they did with you would be so great! We are looking forward to learning about all of the places that our "flat" students have traveled.
How cute is that? My niece called me yesterday to make sure that her Flat Jessie had arrived and that I had taken pics of her. Here are just a few of the pics I took with Flat Jessie:
Me & Flat Jessie at my work
Uncle Jeff with Flat Jessie
Michelle, Flat Jessie & me
She got thirsty, so uncle Jeff hooked her up with some Diet Coke.

Love the "flat" kid project. My parents did a cool one for Aubrey last year. They love when they get it back and see where their little them has been!
ahhh...were they trying to tell you something with this "flat" doll....maybe they should read your NEW post...you are "flat" anymore...maybe you should have brought Flat Jessie to see MR. DR. who could help her with that problem!!! =)
Oh yeah. My son and nephew did that too. It was fun. Until Stanley went to Iraq with Uncle Greg and got shot at.
Poor Stanley.
