New in Town

Saw "New In Town" Friday night and laughed until I almost peed my pants.  Loved the quirky Minnesota accent, related with Lucy's (Renee Zellweger) reaction to the extreme cold and snow, and cracked up every time scrapbooking was mentioned.

{Truth be told, I think that Renee Zellweger is really goofy looking, and this movie proved to be no exception.  I just can't seem to put my finger on it - squinty eyes, odd lips, cheek implants?}

One of my favorite exchanges takes place early on in the movie between Lucy and Blanche (Lucy's assistant in Minnesota).

Blanche:: "Can I ask you a personal question?" (She is very serious at this point.)

Lucy::  "I thought you already had."

Blanche:: "Have you found Jesus?"

Lucy::  "I didn't know he was missing."

For some reason, this really hit my funny bone and I could not stop laughing.  I totally recommend a trip to the theater to see this little gem of a flick.

I wasn't planning on seeing this because my favorite reviewer didn't give it a good review, but maybe I will!

I loved it too. My friend kept saying the same thing about her face. She looked older than she is. Loved the whole thing. I would see it again.

100% agree with you about Renee Z....I've always thought something was weird about her but couldn't put my finger on it...When she's in a movie it makes it hard for me to watch!

Loved this movie. I saw it on Saturday. I was truly Laughing out Loud. I even made myself some tapioca pudding on Sunday night.
