After watching several of the "men" perform, I noticed an alarming trend; most of them were wearing gloves. And not the type you'd wear while participating in most winter sports. No. I'm talking about satiny elbow length gloves, and mesh gloves. Gloves that are sewn to a costume. Like this:
(BTW - Not a fan of this guy. He's very unappealling to me. Blech! I know, I know - he's a great athlete and very good at what he does, but that doesn't make him attractive to me.)
I was even more confused by this guy:
Johnny Weird, I mean Weir. What's up with the pink tassles and corset looking costume? Wow-zah! I can't wait to see what the guys wear for their long programs.

It was the most bizarre thing I have ever watched.
They are all emo. And flamboyant. I have never seen more feathers in my life.
A friend of mine on FB posted and said "Johnny Weir you were robbed!!"
My reply?
"No kidding!! Where was his matching tassel?! Someone must have stolen it from the dressing room!
I thought the MEN'S figure skating was on tonight...I guess they moved it to tomorrow."
Really?! I might need to watch men's figure skating just to be able to scoff and make fun of them.
There is a reason they are unappealing...they are gay. Flamboyant gay. And creepy.

we sat up and laughed at the "mens" costumes during the pairs the other night....interesting to say the least.
