I couldn't even remember what it was about, nor did I look at the brief synopsis on the back cover before I began. I merely plunged right in. To my astonishment, it's based on a true story. For some reason, I had it in my head that it was a work of fiction. (The back of the book does categorize it as fiction, but the author claims it is based on events that actually happened.)
I finished it last night. It's only 250 pages long. I'm sure I would've finished it sooner had it not been so thought provoking and deep. (I'm being serious here. I had to take time to digest it all.)
This is one of those books that I just can't stop thinking about. I believe that everyone should read it. It was quite simply - Fascinating.
It brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. It made me think about God and relationships and love differently. It's one of those books that makes you take a deeper look into yourself. I can honestly say it's one of the best books I've read in awhile. I highly recommend it.

I'll have to check this one out!
My MIA gave this book to me last summer and I have still to get through it. I like some of the ideals (the ones that really made me stop and think) but most of the book just got me upset and I am not sure why. My MIA loved it though and still recommends it to everyone she talks to. *Glad you liked it*
