Movie Review: Ghosts of Girlfriends Past

Yep, it was a movie going weekend. I love going to the movies. I love the whole experience, except for when you have a little old lady sitting behind you questioning everything that is happening on screen in a very loud voice to her friend. (True story. Happened to me and Michelle during "Memoires of a Geisha".)

So, Saturday Michelle and I went to see "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past". We are both Matthew fans, so of course had no qualms about seeing this movie.

It had it's moments, but all in all, not the greatest. To quote Michelle, "I liked it ok, but I liked "Wolverine" a lot more." And that, my friends, is pretty impressive considering that Michelle LOVES her a chick-flick.
The movie was pretty predictable, which was to be expected since it was loosely based on "A Christmas Carol". I thought that Jennifer Garner could've picked a better role to spend her time on and that Michael Douglas looked wicked old.

So, I'm giving it a sideways thumb. If you really want to see it, wait for it to come out on DVD and then rent it.

That makes me sad - I wanted to like it :(

I LOVE Jen Garner (she is my crossover), but I knew this movie would be pretty horrible. Most chick flicks are, and I have very little tolerance for them.

I still may go see it. I love Matthew. And going out with my bestie during the day when the kids are all in school. That's worth it.
