Keep in mind, it WAS 1980::
My family was headed to Turkey. That's right - Turkey. My dad was in the Air Force and got assigned to Incirlik, AFB. He was kind enough to drag the whole family along for a 2 year stint. We stopped off in Virginia to visit my mom's oldest sister and her family. While there, we went to Williamsburg (pictured above) and Busch Gardens.
I'm in the center - I believe I was 7, which makes Travis, my baby brother, 5 and I believe Cadance may have been 2 at this point. (She's the cute little thing standing behind me.)
This pic makes me giggle because it looks like Travis is either sleeping while standing, or he was praying without folding his arms.
And, I must say that I am totally rocking the baretts and cut-offs. H-O-T!

So, my mom moved to Turkey for a job, about 18 months ago, and totally married a Turkish man. I have a Turkish stepfather.

THE SUN WAS IN MY EYES!
When I saw this pic on Cadance's blog, I showed it to Gabriel and he TOTALLY thought that Travis was him! He asked where we were and who was that standing next to him! It was so cute!
