I don't even know where to begin. I just got home from getting my be-hiney whipped, shaken, stirred, chewed-up, spit-out and handed back to me on a silver platter. (Yes, I'm whining.) I'm completely and utterly pooped. It all started with Tiburon saying, "Hey! How come you never come workout with me and Melissa?" I told her it was because they would run circles around me and then I would feel bad and never want to exercise ever again. She clearly didn't buy any of that crap. Today, she made this comment on my blog: "Oh, and when are you going to come and punch stuff with me and Melissa?! Just come once. It'll be fun." (Yah, she actually comments on my blog, unlike some of you... I'm just sayin'. Not namin' any names or anything...)
Melissa managed to coerce me into agreeing to meet her and Tiburon at their gym this evening, with Michelle in tow, for kick-boxing with their killer trainer - Ralynne. (We clearly didn't know what we were getting ourselves into.)
I have to say that I am really proud of us because we didn't turn tail and run from embarrassment after the first 15 minutes. No, we did our best and stuck with it, right up to the bitter end. The end of class was by far the funniest. We did ab work on the Bosu - which is basically half of an exercise ball meant to show you just how horrible you are at balancing. This is where the turtle put in an appearance. (The turtle is one of my favorites.)
Michelle could not get herself situated on that dumb thing. We were laying on the floor in hysterics totally disrupting poor Ralynne's class. We were supposed to be on our side on the Bosu, with an exercise ball between our legs, doing side crunches. Yeah, right! Next, we were on our backs on the Bosu, legs and arms straight up in the air, then with legs bent at the knees after a few minutes. Wobble, woah!, wobble, wobble, woah! Uhhh... Let's just say I felt like I'd taken the short bus to class.
Needless to say, we (myself and Michelle) have decided that maybe, just maybe, we need to mix up our regular exercise routine by attending some aerobics classes at our own gym.
