My butt and legs are gonna be sore tomorrow. I had my first workout with Steve since my surgery a month ago. Wednesday = leg workout. I was actually looking forward to the workout, which is just plain sick and wrong.
We started out with squats. Ok, not too bad. I felt like I could handle squats. I did 65 total. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself. I felt pretty good about the effort. I even did my squats without whining. (Shocking! I know.)
Steve then had me do 40 step-ups while Michelle was on a different kind of squat machine. From there, it was lunges and then jumping jacks. (Again with the fat girls jumping. Ok, so I'm not that fat anymore. I'm definitely not as jiggly as I used to be. Granted, I still have 24 more lbs. to go, but I'm definitely on my way.)
I gave the squat machine a whirl just once, and that was enough. I've lost some muscle in my legs from taking my little hiatus, so I absolutely struggled. Steve took some pity on me, though, which I thought was nice and I really appreciated it.
I'm officially back on the workout wagon and I'm excited to be back. I've only got a couple more workouts with Steve, so I'll be taking full advantage of them. Hopefully it won't take me too long to get back to the level I was at before the gall bladder attack. Here's hoping.
