To my almost 13 year old nephew:

My nephew, CR, has been making me laugh for almost 13 years now.  It's kind of hard to believe he'll be a teenager in a matter of days.  The other night, he was reading my blog and commenting.  I think he's one of the funniest people I know.  (Must be in the genes. He definitely takes after his dad and uncles.)  His comments were cracking me up, so I thought I'd share and tell him a thing or two.

• aunt marty can you tell when i get on your blog. anyway, don't worry i have enough dignity to not do that at all (ugly)!!!!!!!!!!!!!  love,CR

 CR - I can't tell when you get on my blog unless you leave me a comment, so leave me lots of comments.
And, I hope you have enough dignity to not wear socks with sandals, however, your grandpa is another story.

CR - I enjoy the fact that you love to camp.  And, even though you pester me to come along, I love you anyway.  Oh, and what about that "bear" you guys saw last year on your hiking trip???

• i've been trying to convince you for almost 13 years now i will stop but come on we have proof that you have gone camping   love, CR

CR - Proof?  What proof?  If you are referring to the picture of me up at Easley Hot Springs near Sun Valley at a Day family reunion, then I will have to repeat myself, "I was forced to go.  I was 11 years old.  Grandpa and Grandma weren't about to leave me at home by myself."

CR - You have most definitely been my car expert nephew from the get go.  I can remember driving around with you when you were about 2 years old and you would yell out, "Hey, aunt Martha, that's a Chevy Silverado.  That's a Ford F-150.  That's a...."  You get the idea.  You knew all about cars at such a young age and we can definitely blame your dad for that one.

I don't know what new car I'll be getting yet, so any suggestions from you would be great.

I'm sure that CR will keep me laughing for years to come.
