Not All Superheroes Wear Capes

I have the best mom in the world.  No, really - I do.  (Stop arguing with me because you'll just lose.)

I adore her!  I look up to her and wish that I was more like her in so many ways.  She is so giving and loving and kind and it makes me love her all the more.

I was so relieved to hear her voice as I was coming out of anesthesia last week because let's face it - when you're feeling crummy, there's no one like mom for making you feel better.

She totally cleaned my house last week, and she didn't have to.  (I appreciated it all the same.) She baked and cooked yummy food.  She made sure that I was comfortable, taking my pain meds when I should, and going for walks to get everything working again.
I am so proud of her because she is finally trying her hand at computers - e-mailing and the internet.  It's a new and exciting world for her.  (She even followed my blog commenting instructions and made a comment.  Way to go, mom!)

Who else could love me for all of my silliness, stubbornness, and insecurities?  My mom, that's who.

So really, it's very easy to be a good Mom when you have awesome children like I do. Thanks for being my only girl and for raising me to be who I am, really. And, thanks for having great brothers and a great dad. After all, children raise you on becoming real. Thanks so much Ryan, Martha, Travis and Jeffrey and all my grandkids and daughters-in-law. Love, the Mom
