Renewed friendships

Last night I had dinner with an old college roommate, Allison Hamblin Peterson. The last time we saw each other was 9 years ago on her wedding day. After that, we lost contact, until a few months ago when she found my information on classmates.com.

We met for dinner down at the Gateway. As I waited for her to arrive, I wondered if I would remember her by appearance and would she recognize me. Apparently, time has been kind to both of us as we immediately recognized each other and met in a warm embrace.

We immediately started catching up on what we'd been up to for the past 9 years. It was non-stop talking for 3 hours. I felt as though we'd never parted ways.

I have such fond memories of being roommates with Alli. We always had a good time together and she was always so easy to talk to. Time has certainly not changed that.

I am thrilled to be back in contact with Alli and look forward to making many new memories with her.
