Another brother from the same mother

I have some exciting news.  

(No, I have not met Mr. Wonderful...yet.)

But, I do have a new man in my life.  His name is Jeff and he's my brother.

For those of you who've known me for some time, you may recall that my cute mom, when she was only 18 years old, gave up a baby for adoption.  She's always wondered about him and as of Friday, the wondering is over.

He sent her a letter, which she got Friday, and then she called him later that night.  They talked again on Saturday, and again on Sunday.  Mom says he was excited to find out he has siblings, especially a sister.  (We all know I rock as far as sisters go.  ha ha)

He called me tonight (uhhh ... last night.  I'm posting this at 12:30 am Monday).  We talked and talked and talked for an hour and a half!  He totally kept waiting for me to call him on Saturday and he was disappointed when I didn't.  (Mom didn't give me his phone number.  How could I call?)  He lives in Lehi and works in West Jordan.  Crazy, huh?  (For those of you who don't know where those towns are, let me just tell you that they aren't that far away from where I live.)

My parents are coming down for a visit this next weekend, and we're going to get to meet him.

After we got off the phone, of course I had to call my mom - never mind that it was 11:00 at night and she's usually turned into a pumpkin by then.  I knew she'd be too excited to sleep knowing Jeff and I were chatting.  Sure enough, she was so giddy and giggly.  It was so cute.  I'm SO happy for her and thrilled that Jeff is now a part of our lives.
