The Final 15!

A mere year ago, if you would have told me that I would be within 15 pounds of my goal weight, I would've laughed like a loon and told you that you were Crazy!  (With a captial C!)

I would've told you that because of my PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome/Syndrome X), it is next to impossible for me to even lose weight.  I had been exercising on a regular basis and eating what I should and it was getting me NOWHERE.

I was at my wits end.  My breaking point.  The end of the road.

And that's when I found

Ideal Protein. 

(Insert angels singing here.)

It has been my saving grace.  The one true thing that has pushed thru all the barriers and told my body that it really is OK to drop the fat.  I have shed 40 pounds since October 1, 2010 and I really do feel amazing.  I feel like ME again.  The real me.

Believe me, it has not been an easy diet.  It's been the hardest one I've ever done, but well worth it.  However, I'm now struggling with the final 15 pounds.  I think it's hard because I look good, I feel great, and I know I could easily maintain this weight from here on out.  I want to eat like a normal person again, which for me will NEVER be possible.  I will forever have to watch myself and limit the things I munch on.

I feel pretty darn statisfied with wearing a medium sized top and a size 10 pant.  (Much better than the XL tops and size 18 pants I was wearing.)

Why is it now so difficult to wrap my brain around the fact that I need to keep going and finish what I started?  The finish line is right there!  It's within reach.  But my go-go juice got up and went...
