After starting back to Zumba last night, I felt this was appropriate for a re-post.
There was a woman, in her mid to upper 40s last night that needed some serious support. It's so important to have the proper equipment when you're working out, and by proper equipment, I mean sports bra.
First off, the woman had a regular bra on that was about 3 cup sizes too small. Can you say, "her cups runneth over?"
Then, she had on a scoop necked tank top that her boobs were trying to bust out of.
On top of that, add in the flouncing about that is Zumba and you have a catastrophe just waiting to happen. I thought for sure that her boobs were going to put in a most unwelcome appearance. Fortunately, they somehow managed to stay inside of her tank top.
I find it interesting that I originally posted this exactly a year ago.
Again - for the love of all that is holy - get a good sports bra for wearing to the gym.
No one wants to see the girls flip-flopping all about, partying in your shirt. Besides, it's got to be uncomfortable to have them jostling around all the time while on an elliptical machine. You could seriously hurt yourself. (No joke, the bff and I keep seeing this woman in her early 20s at the gym and I have no idea what kind of bra she is wearing, but it's not very supportive. One of these days, I think she's gonna give herself a black eye.)
I even wear a sports bra to the gym and my girls don't flip or flop. (Of course, they didn't move much at all before getting the girls, either.)
So, do yourself and the rest of the gym goers a HUGE favor and strap the girls down before a workout. Everyone, even your girls, will thank you.

Seriously! Saw such example the other day myself. But then she is the same girl that confessed that she doesn't shave her toes. So now all I do is picture her hairy toes while her boobs are bobbing.
haha! "partying in her shirt" awesome!
Yes...I support the Sports-Bra movement!!! ;)
Totally agreed!
Where is this gym? Or should I say "Club!" your hangin out at? I might have to stop and visit. Ha ha
Where are you missy?!
Martha,
I think you need to update your blog.
