Movie Review: Sherlock Holmes

I have to say that I enjoyed "Sherlock Holmes", but I had hoped it would be a bit more exciting. (I think that the most exciting stuff happens in the previews.)

I thought that Jude Law (Mr. Watson) and Robert Downey, Jr. (Sherlock Holmes) both did excellent jobs. Holmes is very neurotic, which kind of appealed to me in a quirky kind of way. Watson is ever dependable and stalwart.

Maybe I didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped because I was super tired when I watched it. M-Cat thought it a most excellent flick and threatened to beat me up in staff meeting because I mentioned that I had gotten bored while watching it. She truly thought I was insane.

I guess to each their own.

I wouldn't say, "Don't go see that. It was awful!" But, I don't know that I could give it a big old thumbs up, either. So, I'm giving it a sideways thumb.

OK...saw this one on new years day and I really liked it. I totally loved the way Holmes was shown with a very bad case of ADHD. The end was not really a surprise but still a good one.
